On-site Cook
We are looking for a highly independent cook for our 79 place childcare centre. This person must be quick on their feet, 79 little people will be relying on them for their daily meals.

Abacus Kindergarten and Learning Centres on-site cook requirements:
- Child Care Professional with a Food Handlers Certificate
- Can menu plan, create shopping list’s and keep record of current food in centre.
- Works well in a team environment
- Passionate, enthusiastic and committed to high quality early childhood education and care
- Working with Children’s Check
- Permanent residency in Australia
- Knowledge of allergies, including anaphylaxis allergies and other food related medical conditions.
- Previous experience as a Child Care Centre Cook
- First Aid Certificate

Abacus Kindergarten and Learning Centres Trainee requirements:
- Looking for applicants under the age of 18, 18 years and over must have a working with children check and be available Monday-Friday, 6:30 am-6 pm.
- Successful applicants will work full time hours whilst studying for a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care over a 12 month period.
- Those who already hold Early Childhood qualifications will not be suitable for this position.
- Applicants will have strong communication and written skills and be organised as well as having a caring and professional approach to their work. You will need to have a great work ethics and committed to completing your course.

Abacus Kindergarten and Learning Centres Certificate lll requirements:
- A Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (As assessed and recognised by ACECQA).
- Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
- Ability to provide high-quality care and education.
- A Current Apply First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
- Good Organisational Skills and Good Leadership skills.
- Good Communication Skills and Ability to work in a team environment.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators and the broader centre community
- Have a sound knowledge of and demonstrate high-quality practice in line with, the National Quality Framework that is, Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Actively contribute to the educational program, observations, and documentation, our very own centre App and informal opportunities to communicate regularly on your children’s progress and activities with their families
- Collaborate with your peers to extend children’s thinking and learning through intentional teaching strategies, inspiring environments, spontaneous play experiences and high-quality documentation
